My Journey with BCMT “Kalakhan”

This reflective narrative recounts the author’s transformative journey through the Basic Citizen Military Training (BCMT) “Kalakhan.” Blending the rigor of military discipline with the perspective of an educator, the text illustrates how field drills, physical challenges, and teamwork reshaped his identity as both a Filipino and a teacher. Beyond endurance and skill, the experience instilled adaptability, responsibility, and a renewed sense of service — lessons he now carries into the classroom and offers as inspiration for fellow educators.
