Abstract

Reclaiming Language Identity highlights the importance of preserving indigenous and local languages as vital expressions of cultural heritage and personal identity. Through Mara's journey of rediscovering Chavacano, the story illustrates how intergenerational learning and community participation can revive endangered languages and strengthen cultural continuity. It emphasizes that language preservation begins with everyday conversations that connect the past with future generations.
