The Seat Facing the Window follows Solana, a quiet and observant Grade 11 student who transforms her everyday classroom view into a meaningful source of learning. While others perceive her attention to the outside world as distraction, Solana uses observation and curiosity to connect academic lessons with real-life experiences in her community. Her awareness of local vendors and their challenges inspires her to develop a simple system for recording sales, expenses, and inventory. The story emphasizes that education extends beyond textbooks and classroom walls, encouraging learners to observe, question, and apply knowledge to practical problems. Ultimately, Solana’s experience illustrates how curiosity, experiential learning, and community awareness can empower students to become thoughtful and purposeful contributors to society.
